Johnston Canyon
Magic in the journey.
Hiking Johnston Canyon is an enchanting and breathtaking adventure to add to your bucket list. Located between Banff and Castle Mountain, this spectacular 2.75 km moderate hike gently trails the canyon's edge along wide paths and suspended catwalks leading to the Lower and Upper Falls. On this path, you will walk within the canyon, following the crystal-clear emerald waters cascading past seven waterfalls, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience.
Drawing Johnston Canyon was a must for me. This place is incredible and captures the true magic of enjoying the journey. At this time in my life, I was so focused on reaching my end goal of restoring my wrist after a near career-ending injury in one giant leap that I found myself exhausted and burnt out. Johnston Canyon reminded me that it’s the continuous effort, one small step at a time, to improve every day that creates the masterpiece and that the moments we experience along the way are what makes life magical.
When you look at my drawing of Johnston Canyon, I hope it inspires you to take small, consistent steps toward your goals and encourages you to be present and appreciate every moment leading you closer to your destination.
“Johnston Canyon” is the third drawing in my exclusive “Finding Myself in the Canadian Rockies” limited edition print collection.
