Banff Springs
Fall in love with ‘now’.
This iconic viewpoint of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is from across the river at Surprise Corner lookout. It features the 1888 chateau, Rimrock Resort, Banff Gondola, Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station, and Bow River, all set against Sulphur Mountain's stunning backdrop. The romantic combination of natural splendour and architectural magnificence fashions an unforgettable and enchanting scene that draws visitors worldwide.
I created this drawing during the third Fall of my arduous journey to rehabilitate my wrist after a near career-ending injury. Looking at this view, particularly at this time of year, reminded me to appreciate life's changes and embrace gratitude for the journey and progress. Just like Banff Springs stands proudly in front of the grand Rockies swathed in a blanket of colourful changing leaves, we can also find beauty in our transformations.
I hope this drawing of Banff Springs inspires you to pause and appreciate your progress. Remember, self-love fosters self-respect, paving the way for a brilliant, colourful life.
“Banff Springs” is the fifth drawing in my exclusive “Finding Myself in the Canadian Rockies” limited edition print collection. Each piece uniquely reflects my personal journey and connection with the Rockies. To learn more, read the collection story here. To continue following my journey, check out “Peyto Lake” next or head backward to “Castle Mountain.”
